For this project, I re-designed the Joker and Harley Quinn based on the year 2005.
I reframed them as anti-war protesters turned radical anarchists, visualizing themes of anti-establishment, anti-american government, and chaotic insurgence. I studied the comic “Batman: Under the Hood” which ran from February to August 2005, as well as anti-war in Iraq protests that took place in 2005, some gathering more than 150,000 protestors.
